Trolling motor stolen at Big McDonald Lake

Sheriff deputies, on Sept. 27, reported the theft of a trolling motor at Engstrom Beach Road, Big McDonald Lake, northwest of Dent.
Also taken was a battery, gas tank and line. The value of all items was approximately $270.
The owner planned to find the serial number for the trolling motor.

Members of the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office were among the first responders dispatched to structure fires on the west side of Fergus Falls, near Interstate 94.
The calls came in just past midnight on Sept. 29.
An outbuilding and small shed caught fire from a nearby burn pile. The affected structures were a total loss. There were no injuries.
