The AARP Driver Safety Program is a driver refresher course for those who are 50 years of age and older.

The course explains changes that occur in vision, hearing, and reaction time as individuals age, and it provides driving safety tips for handling these changes. Persons age 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance premiums each year for the next three years as provided by Minnesota law.

A four-hour refresher course will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.

For more information, or to register for one of the courses, contact Gaylord Anderson at (218) 579-0354. The cost is $20 or $15 for AARP members.
