The annual pie and pumpkin Oktoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landmark Center. This free event will feature fresh baked pie, pumpkin painting, scribblebooth activities by the Scribbletastic Fun-O-Matic Command Post, and Live Bluegrass music by “The Skally Line.” 

Funding for this event is made possible in part by a Thrivent Action Team donation, and by the Caryl Lewis Music Fund. 

Artist Cynthia Buchholz will host a barn quilt painting workshop on Sunday, Oct. 10 from 1-5 p.m. An $80 registration fee includes all materials, design, and instruction needed to create your own custom barn quilt for indoor or outdoor display. Please call 548-5760 to RSVP.

Bill and Mimi Seykora will host a one-day RAKU Pottery workshop with two firing groups meeting at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Space is limited to 24 participants, so please call before we are full. 

A $35 registration fee includes your choice of a pre-made ceramic pot, which will be heated in outdoor kiln. You will choose horsehair & feathers to burn into the heated pot to create your unique RAKU pot. Please RSVP to reserve your space.

Artist Mary Smith basket weaving workshop has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A $40 registration fee includes all materials and instruction to create a 10×10” “Try-A-Twill” basket using natural and dyed reeds. Please RSVP by October 15.
