The annual Lutheran Island Camp Quilt Auction will take on a different look this year as the auction will transition from an in-person to online auction. The change was made due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual Lutheran Island Camp Quilt Auction will take on a different look this year as the annual gathering will go online.

Typically several hundred people converge on Lutheran Island Camp for a day of bidding on unique and custom quilts, riding horses, playing games and stuffing their faces with food and snacks. Due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual quilt auction will not be held in person this year and will be featured online.

The first of two online auctions will begin on Tuesday, July 27 and run through Aug. 5. All of the quilts that are available to be bid on will be available on the Proxibid website located at www.Proxibid.com. Viewing of the quilts will begin on the first day of the auction itself, while the bids will be collected through the final day.

The items can either be shipped to a household, or picked up at the camp, at a later date. A second online auction will be held in October, also on the Proxibid website.
