0Adysen Tysdal finished in 24th place out of 84 golfers in the Class A state girls golf tournament.
Head coach Mike Hepola said that is a very good finish to an excellent season, but Tysdal is a competitive young lady who isn’t satisfied with this result and will continue to work towards next season. State golf is a tough “marathon” two days in which the players hit shot after shot in front of a lot of spectators which is not easy (just ask any adult golfer how easy that would be).
On day 1, Tysdal started off with a couple bogeys followed by a nice stretch of 3 pars. She then finished her first nine with a couple bogeys and a double bogey, but it was playing tough and she made the turn in 5th place overall. The second nine was tough, but she kept battling and ended up shooting a first day total of 93.
Day 2 was tough as well, but was highlighted by two birdies on par 3s and she actually played the four par 3s in 1-under for the day.
Overall, she shot a 96 to finish with a two day total of 189. That was good enough for 24th place overall.
Hepola said the coaches are proud of Tysdal as she represented the Henning and Battle Lake communities professionally down there and they are excited to have her back for another season.
