Tyson Misegades didn’t allow a single run as the Otter Tail Central Junior Legion defeated Crookston 11-0 on Saturday, June 12. Misegades allowed just four hits.

OTC secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning.  The rally was led by singles by Soren Floden and Misegades, a sac fly by Owen Harrig and a double by Owen Buehler.

Misegades was the winning pitcher for OTC as he lasted five innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out seven.

Misegades led OTC with two hits and two walks in four plate appearances. 

In the second game of the double-header, the base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. OTC collected nine hits and Crookston had three.

Crookston scored eight runs in the third inning as Bulldog relievers struggled to throw strikes. But, OTC still won 15-8 on Saturday.  Crookston batters contributing to the big inning included George Widman, Alex Longoria,  Jackson Denereuis, Caden Ames, Lucas Miller, and Carter Coquette, who all drove in runs.

OTC got things moving in the first inning, when Jayden Harig drew a walk, scoring one run.

OTC  notched six runs in the second inning.  The offensive firepower by the Bulldogs was led by Owen Buehler, Garrett Nelson, Garrett Kuhn-Rice, Lane Dilly, and Harig, all driving in runs in the frame.

Buehler got the win for OTC as he pitched two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.  Dilly entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Miller took the loss for Crookston. The pitcher surrendered 11 runs on seven hits over two innings.

OTC collected nine hits on the day.  Tyson Misegades and Nelson each collected two hits to lead OTC.  

The Bulldogs stole six bases during the game. Gavin Pausch led the way with two.

Monday

The OTC Junior Legion fought back after falling down by five runs in the seventh inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 11-9 defeat to Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale on Monday. OTC scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Owen Harrig and a single by Gavin Pausch.

The Bulldogs took an early lead in the second inning. Lane Dilly singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale knotted the game up at six in the top of the third inning of an RBI double.

OTC scored five runs in the second inning. Garrett Nelson, Pausch, Tyson Misegades, and Dilly all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Owen Buehler took the loss for OTC as he pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out six.

OTC racked up nine hits in the game. Harig, Pausch, and Harrig each collected two hits to lead OTC Junior Legion.  OTC Junior Legion tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Pausch led the way with three.

Tuesday

The OTC Junior Legion took the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Parkers Prairie on Tuesday.  The game was tied at 3-3 with OTC batting in the top of the sixth when Soren Floden doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

OTC got things started in the first inning when Lane Dilly grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Parkers Prairie’s Chase Thieschafer singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

After OTC scored one run in the top of the fourth, Parkers Prairie answered with one of their own.  OTC scored when Garrett Nelson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Dilly earned the victory on the mound for the Bulldogs as he allowed 10 hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Tyson Misegades led OTC with two hits in four at bats.  Hunter Haugen led OTC Junior Legion with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.

In the second game of the night, the OTC Junior Legon team jumped out to an early lead over Parkers Prairie and took home a 14-3 victory on Tuesday.  OTC scored on a single by Lane Dilly, an error, a double by Owen Buehler, and a groundout by Kale Misegades in the first inning.

OTC put up six runs in the fourth inning.  Dilly, Buehler, Soren Floden, Gavin Pausch, and Dilly all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Pausch got the win for OTC as he allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Blake Adickes took the loss for Parkers Prairie. 

OTC collected 12 hits with Floden and Buehler each collecting three hits to lead the Bulldogs. OTC tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Jayden Harig led the way with two.

Friday

Owen Buehler showed timely hitting on Friday, driving in five on three hits to lead OTC Junior Legion past Perham 13-9 on Friday in the opening game of the Perham Tournament.  Buehler drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a triple in the fourth.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as OTC collected 10 hits and Perham had 11. 

The OTC Junior Legion got things started in the first inning when Jayden Harig grounded out to score one run.

Misegades earned the victory on the hill for OTC as he surrendered nine runs on 9 hits over six  plus innings, striking out six and walking zero.  Gavin Pausch got the final three outs  in relief out of the bullpen to earn the save. 

OTC totaled ten hits with Buehler leading the way as he went 3-for-5 at the plate.

Saturday

OTC watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-1 loss to Moorhead on Saturday.  Moorhead took the lead on a single in the second inning.

The OTC Junior Legion struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Moorhead, giving up nine runs.

Moorhead got on the board in the second inning when Logan Hilber singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Moorhead scored three runs in the third inning.  Jacob Vannet and Elijah Mack all drove in runs in the frame.

Gavin Quade was credited with the victory for Moorhead. The ace allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

Gavin Pausch took the loss for OTC despite throwing well. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while walking zero.

Tyson Misegades, Jayden Harig, Lane Dilly, amd Garrett Nelson each collected one hit to lead OTC.
