Sheriff deputies reported that fire destroyed a seasonal camper northeast of Clitherall and near Highway 5. Firefighters were called to the scene at 1:46 a.m. on April 13.

Lost to the fire, along with the 2016 Salem Villa, was a deck, shed and jet ski. Damaged was a neighboring RV trailer and shower/toilet building. No buildings were occupied at the time of the fire.

Responding to the scene were firefighters from Battle Lake. The location was between West Battle Lake and East Battle Lake.

The property is owned by a resident of Gwinner, N.D.

Fire destroys house

north of Underwood

A dwelling north of Underwood and southeast of Erhard was destroyed by fire on April 9. Firefighters responded to the scene at 10:28 p.m.

The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The dwelling was owned by Cameron Rittenour.

Cause of the fire was not immediately known. Responding to the scene were firefighters from Underwood, Elizabeath and Fergus Falls. Assisting at the scene were county sheriff deputies.
