The Henning School Board has tabbed Melissa Sparks as its next school superintendent. The decision is contingent on the two sides coming to an agreement on a contract. Sparks is currently the high school principal at MACCRAY, which is located in Clara City, Minn.  and she will replace interim superintendent Barry Olson, who will be leaving the school district at the end of June.

Sparks was one of two people, along with Tri County School Superintendent/Principal Ryan Baron, who were interviewed for a second time last Tuesday night. Following the second round of interviews, the school board approved entering into contract negotiations with Sparks to become the new superintendent of the school.

As of the time of press, the school district and Sparks were in the process of negotiating a contract for her to become the next school superintendent.
