As temperatures dip into double digits below zero, Henning School students are getting ready to celebrate all of the things that are cold and winter this week.

The annual Snow Week celebration will kick off Tuesday, albeit with a slightly different twist on past celebrations due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Coronation will be held on Tuesday afternoon as three senior girls and boys will compete for the title of Snow Week royalty. The king candidates include: Joe Angell, Ethan Houselog and Chris Rinicker; and the queen candidates include: Kylie Frederick, Gracie Grabe and Megan Rinicker. 

The crown bearers include first graders Reggie Emter and Shelby Loock.

The dress up day on Tuesday is pajama day.

On Wednesday the dress up theme will be twin day and the first round of the dodge ball tournament will get underway.

Thursday’s dress up day will be sports day and students will be putting their athletic ability on display as the dodge ball tournament continues.

Snow Week wraps up on Friday as the dress up theme is beach/Hawaiian day for the high school and spirit day for the elementary students. The theme for the day will be activity day and high school students will have the opportunity to do a variety of activities including a movie, bowling and Pizza Ranch or ice fishing.
