Space is still available for two upcoming workshops at the Landmark Center. 

Artist Mary Jo Wentz will host a Wet Felting Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This process uses your hands to form wool fibers using water, soap, and agitation to interlock and compact fibers used to create a scarf, table runner, or shawl. No prior experience is necessary, all materials are provided. 

Artist Ruth Hanson will host a Watercolor Batik Painting workshop on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This painting process uses traditional Watercolor paints with Wax on Rice Paper to build up layers of color, creating a beautifully unique landscape painting. Please call the Landmark Center at 548-5760 to RSVP as space is limited.

Four additional workshops are also scheduled including a two day Printmaking Workshop with Mike Weatherly on April 15 and April 22. 

Artist Clayton Johnson will host a two day Wood Relief Face Carving Workshop from April 28-29. 

Artist Patricia Wahl Will host an Acrylic painting workshop on August 19 featuring a Vincent VanGough mash-up combining Starry Night and Sunflower paintings into one work of art. 

Ceramic artist Mimi Seykora will host a five day Pottery Workshop at the Landmark Station building from 1-4 p.m. on September 12, 14, 19, 21 and 26. Days are spread out giving time to create multiple items with drying time, bisque firing in our kiln, glazing, and final glaze firing. Materials and tools for all six of these workshops are included with your registration fee. Space is limited so please RSVP by calling 548-5760.
