Library Happenings
Henning School

At various events around Henning you will be able to see the wonderful easels that Hilltop Lumber of Ottertail donated materials for. These easels were made by Mr. Hill’s wood shop class. They are engraved with Hilltop Lumber and Mr. Hill’s shop class name on them.  Being displayed on these easels will be the various Adopt A Classroom sponsors and what their sponsorship money was used for in the various classrooms.

All of the displays were created by Kaislyn Bunkowski as part of her NHS project for 2023.

Creating these displays allows for the public to view what the sponsorship money provides the teachers and students at Henning School. You do not have to be a business to give to the Adopt A Classroom program.  If you would like to be a donor for your child’s classroom, grandchild’s classroom, or have a specific area of interest you would like to help with, please contact Pam Wiese at (701) 264-9064 or you can send a donation to Henning Adopt A Classroom 500 School Ave, Henning MN 56551.

Recently, a group got together and gave a donation in honor of Sandy Quammen to be used in the shop classroom. Sandy Quammen passed away in December and the donating group decided that because Sandy loved to do woodwork and his wife Mrs. Marjorie Quammen taught school at Henning for many years, this would be a great way to honor Sandy’s memory.
