A Historic Henning Walking Tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 10 beginning at 7 p.m. in front of Landmark Center. Chris Schuelke from the Otter Tail County Historical Society will host this 90-minute tour sharing stories and facts about life in Henning throughout the years. A $10 registration fee will help OTCHS with their research.

The Landmark Center will provide two people mover trailers for those not wishing to walk. While at Landmark, you can view both of our community puzzles currently on display. Soon the City of Henning puzzle will be transported and installed in the lobby of Henning City Hall.

Our book club, Beverage and a Book, will meet on Tuesday, July 1 from 2-4 p.m. and again four weeks later on July 29, all are welcomed to join. We receive books from the Viking Library Bookmobile which visits Henning every other Tuesday from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station building. Next visits are scheduled for July 1, 15, and 29.

Thanks to a MN Legacy grant received by Landmark, Henning School art teacher McKenna Osmondson will host a seven day Barrel Fired Pottery workshop at the Landmark Station.

This workshop is being offered to students from 8th-12th grades, and will include five evenings creating with raku clay on July 13-17 from 5-8 p.m. then returning for final barrel firing events from August 11-12. Space is Limited, registration fee is $20, please call 548-5760 to RSVP.

“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.” Please mark your calendars for our Annual Corn, Brat, and Burger feed on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 5-7 p.m. Join us for this Summer celebration with a free will meal, silent auction items, live music, and dessert with friends and neighbors.
