Bulldogs to compete at Ada-Borup

The Otter Tail Central cross country team competed at a meet at the Sonnenberg Trails in rural New York Mills on September 1. 

A total of 33 runners either posted a personal, or season best time, during the seventh annual Dragon Twilight meet at Minnesota State University-Moorhead on Friday night.

Otter Tail Central was led by Peter Newark who broke into OTC’s top 10 list with the seventh fastest time of 17:19.82. 

Meanwhile, Delia Tebrugge had the highest finish of all OTC runners as she took 16th place in the middle school race. 

As a team, 17 runners who ran the same course last year dropped an average of 97 seconds from their time from last year.

“We came into this meet knowing that we were going to toe the line with some of the best teams and runners in the state. Our goal was to get pulled into running fast times and that is exactly what happened,” said head coach Brady Spleicher. “This group has been working hard these first four weeks of the season and I’m excited to see their fitness levels grow and to continue to drop times.”

OTC will return to action on Thursday when they compete at Ada-Borup.
