As the saying goes, many hands make light work. A group of Henning volunteers are hoping that many hands turn out for a community work night in the park on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

According to Henning Police Chief Mike Helle, volunteers are being sought to move black dirt, seed grass, install park benches, rake wood chips at the playground and complete a number of other tasks at the city park. Helle said there are a number of small projects that need to be completed and the hope is to get these tasks completed in time for fall.

Food will be provided during the night of the event by the Henning Lions Club.
